Happy weekend, Snippetteers. Hope you all have something good to look forward to over the weekend. I am looking forward to spending the day with a friend I haven’t seen for months. We only live an hour apart, but we’ve not been able to get a day free at the same time for far too long. Anyway, she’s coming to visit for a catch up and a meal out.
My snippet it more from The Power of Will, following on from last week when Tyler sees a mysterious stranger through the window of a property he is working at.

I couldn’t make out the name from the movement of his lips and I lifted a hand, gesturing to the garden in the hopes he’d come outside and speak to me properly. He hesitated, his smile slipping away. He turned from the window and I sighed with disappointment, but then the door opened, and he stepped outside.
We were the same height, and his slender build mirrored mine. But there the similarity ended. He was immaculately dressed in smart grey trousers and a crisp white shirt buttoned to the neck, perfectly groomed and clean. I pulled off my gardening gloves, hoping my hands weren’t too dirty underneath. I’d started the job without them, until the prickly bushes attacked me as I cut them down. A quick glance at my right palm told me I wouldn’t do any damage if I shook his hand. I held it out and smiled again.
“My name’s Tyler.”
“William.” He placed a soft hand with neatly manicured nails in mine, shaking with a gentle grip.
