Happy weekend, Snippetteers! It’s a long weekend for me, as I was off work yesterday to go to London to sort out my visa for Russia. I’m going there in a little over 2 weeks to climb Mount Elbrus. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone, as I booked this adventure in January 2018! I will be snippetting for a couple more weeks, and then I’ll be missing two weeks while I’m away.
For now, here’s another teaser from The Power of Will. Tyler is doing a gardening job for a customer.

Pausing to stretch my back, I leaned my cutters against the rear wall of the cottage, placed my hands on my knees, and rolled my shoulders. When I straightened up I lifted my arms into the air and sucked in a long breath. As I breathed out, a prickle on the back of my neck told me I was being watched. I turned to the nearby kitchen window and met the startled gaze of a young man.
He was close—only three or four feet away from me—and my eyes roved over his perfect face. Angular cheekbones and a firm jaw framed the lower half, and his straight nose with its little upward tilt at the end sat above full lips. His short-cropped brown hair held hints of chestnut in the glossy layers, and large brown eyes stared back at me before his mouth fell open in a surprised “Oh.”
I grinned, unable to drag my gaze away from his, and a hint of colour crept over his cheeks. He lowered his eyes, lips twitching at the corners into a shy smile. My heartrate increased, and a flutter of excitement made my breathing stutter. He was beautiful.
“Hey.” Unsure if he’d hear me through the glass, I spoke loudly. He nodded, and his mouth formed the word “hello,” although I couldn’t hear his voice. He must be the son of the lady who’d booked my services, I mused. “What’s your name?”
