Plans for 2019? Well, I’ve always been a pantser. I do intend to finish Favourite Toy 2 which I’m snippeting from at the moment. I want to work on my long-abandoned paranormal story, The Power of Will, which has been stuck at four chapters for about three years!
Plans of the non-writing type – I’ll be running my 6th half-marathon in April, spending a week camping and hiking in two regions of Wales in May, and in July – my second expedition of a lifetime when I’ll be going to Russia to climb Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe! 😀

Now, more from Favourite Toy 2, shortly after last week’s snippet with Ryan letting it all out.

I glanced at my watch again. In a little over twelve hours, it would be a year. A year since a stolen truck hit our taxi and I lost the love of my life.
A sob escaped before I realised tears were already pouring down my face. My temples pounded, and my eyes stung as I cried like a baby, tears dripping onto my chest and the sheet, and snot collecting on my upper lip. I bawled, and rather than push Casper away when he came back and kneeled on the bed beside me, I wrapped my arms around him and soaked his shirt with my heartbreak. It went on and on, until I was exhausted and shivering. Casper drew back a few inches and I grimaced at the sight of his shirt, slimy from my nose leaking on it.
“Sorry,” I croaked.
“It’ll wash.” Casper unfastened his tight blue shirt and shrugged it off. “I think you needed that.”
