Rainbow Snippets – 1 December 2018

Wow, has it really been 3 years! I have loved being part of Rainbow Snippets all this time. I’ve only missed a handful of weeks, when I’ve been away from home.

When you’ve checked out my latest teaser, please click the link HERE for the Rainbow Snippets Group for lots more snippets. If you’re new to Rainbow Snippets, authors post links to 6-line snips from their LGBT WIPs, published worked, or recommendations. You may find your next favourite read here.

I’m starting the new month with a snippet from my new WIP. Favourite Toy 2 picks up where the first book left off, a year later in the lives of Dean and Casper, and housemate Ryan. It’s the anniversary of Ryan’s lover Danny’s death and things are tough for him. His best mate Dean is at work and sweetheart Casper tries to help.

Casper’s brow wrinkled but then he shook himself and smiled. “It doesn’t matter if you’re horrible to me. I know it’s not me you’re mad at. But I’m not going. Give that to me.” He advanced across the room and snatched the bottle of vodka from the cabinet beside the bed before I could refill my glass. “You don’t need this. You’ll rot your liver. Let me guess, you feel like shit from the amount you drank yesterday. You want to blot it all out and wake up tomorrow, feeling even worse. It won’t go away. It’ll still all be here tomorrow, and you’ll have to go to work and deal with it feeling like death. You need to shout and scream, or cry your eyes out, or burn yourself out in the pool. Talk about him. Anything. But don’t drink yourself unconscious.”
