This week I have more from Separation, my upcoming taboo story. Check out what’s happening in Matthew and Tremaine’s world.
Matthew Langford is told on his twenty-first birthday that he has a twin. After the initial shock, he quickly realizes this is why he always felt part of him was missing. His search takes him 200 miles to Devon, UK, where he meets fraternal twin, Tremaine Wheal.
The pair discover many things in common, and quickly become as close as if they’d never been separated. But when they share a moment in a nightclub, each realizes there is more between them than having shared a womb. Panic sets in and they part. Once again their separation brings loneliness and pain.
Eventually, unable to stay away from each other, they tentatively move forward together as lovers. But secrets don’t stay secret for long, and discovery and questions threaten their happiness.
This is a taboo story featuring twins.
This is shortly after the last snippet. The pair shared coffee and cake in a coffee shop, and a pair of whispering teenagers wondered if they were gay. Leaving the shop, they discuss it and find out they have something else in common. This is still Matthew’s point of view. Lots of very short lines.

“So, are you?” he asked, glancing sideways at me.
“Am I what?”
“Let me guess. Stef told you?” Tremaine’s smile disappeared again.
“He mentioned it. I think he misses you.”
“There was nothing between us like that. It was only messing around, years ago.”
“I didn’t mean that. I meant your friendship.”
“I don’t know about that. I fucked it up. I met this guy, Chris—” He stopped at my gasp of surprise.
“I, um, I had a boyfriend called Chris,” I explained. “He was a real—”
“I was going to say bitch, but yes.”
Tremaine grinned. “Are you seeing anyone now?”
“No. Chris put me off relationships.”
